Re: Anakonda żółta
YELLOW ANACONDA (Eunectes notaeus)
The yellow anaconda is a semi-aquatic species that ranges in western Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and Bolivia and in northeastern Argentina. Adults normally range from 7-11 feet in lenght and fairly heavy bodied. Eunectes notaeus, does best in a large uncluttered cage other than for a water container big enough for soaking, swimming, and possibily feeding and defecating. Keeping fairly high humidity (around 60-70 percent) and a good daily temp. in the high 80's and a basking area of any where from 88-94. I keep a hide box only for the fact that if one is not supplied mine will normally sleep in thier water.
The yellow anaconda readliy feeds on rodents in captivity, however if they don't to start with try placing the food in the water bowl as they will in the wild sometimes attack at the waters edge. Also baby chickens have been excepted by "picky" feeders.
With more and more captive breeding occuring the general public will be able to obtain healthier and somewhat calmer yellow anacondas. Wheter to by captive bred or wild caught is a simple wuestion with a simple answer, BUY CAPTIVE BRED! My reasons are ovious really captive specimens will be healthier and calmer as i stated above and wild caught imports will most likely be infested with huge loads of mites, ticks, flukes, nematodes, tapeworms, and might have been infested with leeches as well on collection! Not to mention wild caught speciems might never adapt to and thrive in captivity no matter how good of a keeper and setup! The information above is a outline of care for the yellow anacondas and one who is very serious about getting a yellow anaconda should not just use this information and over look the values of a good book especially one that strictly is about the yellow anaconda.
